Fisheries & Aquarium
In fisheries, polypropylene is commonly used for fish tanks, water storage containers, hatchery trays, crates, and transport boxes. PP does not corrode or degrade in saline conditions, ensuring long service life and safe storage of live fish and aquatic products. Lightweight PP crates and bins also make handling and transportation easier while maintaining hygiene.
In aquarium systems, polypropylene is used in filtration housings, pipe fittings, sumps, breeding tanks, and covers. Its smooth surface prevents harmful bacterial buildup and allows easy cleaning, which is essential for maintaining water quality and aquatic health. PP is also resistant to algae growth when properly maintained.
